Programme note
An LED (or light emmiting diode) is a small bulb found on lots of electronic music equipment, such as synthesisers or effects units. The piece is inspired by the flashing and pulsing of these lights, and evokes the scene of a darkened room with these lights as the only source of illumination. This could be a packed club floor or conversely an isolated producer’s bedroom. Nevertheless the sound should be hypnotic and trance-like.
